Camp Sunshine Art Teaching

I know it's a day late, but with all the storms I couldn't risk losing my files.  I taught the Camp Sunshine kids the basics of art and it was really fun.  They were really into it as well, and the paintings are great, too. They created their own artwork to go up in the Health Department.  All of the campers worked really hard and I even heard some of them say that they wanted to be artists! Boy, did that make me happy!

I want to thank everyone who helped me during my first teaching experience. Thank you Kim, Laura, Lauren, Pam, and Erin. I truly appreciate your help!  I couldn't of done it without you all because, lets face it, I was a nervous wreck for part of the time!

Here are some pictures of us setting up and me teaching the class. Sorry, but I can not take pictures of the campers.

The campers really seemed to appreciate art after my class.  I consider them true artists.  My class also seemed to enjoy my art lesson,  I taught them about the Primary and Secondary colors, opposites on the color wheel, and what foods are healthy for you.  After all, my project is called "The Art of Healthy Living"!! Remember to eat right and appreciate the arts.

Tune in next week when I blog before going on my Mission Trip. We're going to Florida, and I'll be doing the same lesson with some young people down there to expand my project!  Till next week! Bye!
