Back from Florida!
I've been back for a few days, but you all know how it is when you get back from a trip. My project was a success, the children seemed to enjoy painting and learning how to be a little bit healthier. I only did the project one day because that's how long it took. It was a really good experience for me and the children. I think I became a better teacher through this because I know how to respond to little children better. The children also learned a few painting techniques in the project. Some of the techniques included brush strokes and size. They learned how to use smaller brushes when the picture is tiny and how to not put so much paint on a canvas so the picture can dry faster and you can paint more detail in than just slapping a glob of paint on a canvas then trying to paint a picture over it. The rest of my trip was fun, being with my youth group is always fun. We all got closer to one another and that's always good. You can read about our experiences on our youth blog or just follow Rawlings on Twitter, he posted everything that happened.
